As Rotarians, one of the many things we are thankful for is community. We live our thankfulness through fellowship with each other and through our work to make our local and global communities better for everyone. In recent years, our club has built schools in Guatemala and supported the global eradication of polio through the PolioPlus campaign of Rotary International. In Regina, Eastview Rotary provides funding to local organizations like the Canadian Mental Health Association (Regina Branch), Chili for Children, Wascana Rehabilitation Centre Volunteers, and the Open Door Society, to name a few.
Programs for youth are important to our Club. Each year, we send a student overseas to participate in the Rotary Youth Exchange program and also welcome a student to Regina to spend a school year in our great city. And for the summer, Regina youth are eligible for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards – a week long camp to foster the talent of young leaders. As hosts for the Adventures in Agriculture program, Eastview Rotarians host high school students from across western Canada to explore the future of agriculture and its related industries.
If you are a community-minded business or professional person with a global perspective, join us at the Rotary Club of Regina Eastview! We meet every Thursday at noon at the Delta Hotel. For more information, see our page here.
